What is Keyword Research?

Keyword research is the act of investigating and understanding what keywords are highly related and highly searched for. This information is highly useful and integral for both organic Search Engine Optimization and also for Paid Ad campaigns. Keyword research information is highly useful for businesses to more effectively target their products towards consumers, and is extremely useful when trying to define a brand.

How do I do it?

There are two main ways to conduct your own keyword research. The first and simplest method is to find your selected keyword’s related search terms. The second method of keyword research is to use Google Keyword Planner, a tool of Google Ads.

To find the related search terms of your keyword, all you need to do is search your keyword in Google’s ordinary search bar. Once your results have loaded, simply scroll to the tab that shows related keywords. Use these results to determine what words are closely associated with your chosen term. Then you can use these terms to optimize your keyword.

Google Keyword Planner

To use Google Keyword Planner. First create a Google Ads account. Once your account has been made, you can go into the available tools and find a tab where you can discover new keywords. Simply input your desired keyword and then the most closely searched for terms will be listed. These words can be sorted by volume, location, and how much they cost to advertise on.
